Acton High School Civics Team Wins $5000 for the Hub

Acton District High School students, Natalie Shortt, Jackie MacDonald, Cody Adema and Zach Hannah are local heroes after donating $5000 to the Our Kids Network Acton Community Hub. Their team won a Civics course competition in which Grades 9 and 10 students research, choose and advocate for a local charity. The top team receives a $5000 donation to support their cause. Known as the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI), the program is sponsored by Toskan Casale Foundation and organized by participating secondary schools. Full story
