Our Kids Network has adopted a framework known as Developmental Assets®. Created by the Search Institute® in 1990, Developmental Assets are the positive experiences and personal qualities that children and youth need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. The more assets a person has, the more likely they are to do better in school, make friends, and make healthier decisions.
The Search Institute has developed a list of 40 Developmental Assets that children and youth need to succeed.
OKN is actively engaged in raising awareness and sharing knowledge of Developmental Assets with our internal and external stakeholders.
