Community Hubs

Each Hub is unique, responding to the different needs of each community, and works with local partners and groups to provide programming such as drop-ins, social skills programs, parent support, food security and more.

Acton Community Hub

Acton is a strong community with a stable population that has adapted to changing economic conditions. In some areas, children and families face income and health challenges, and contend with a lack of affordable public transit. The Acton Hub Team includes people from every school in Acton, agencies, faith groups and Regional staff. They work together to identify and respond collectively to the unique needs of Acton children, youth and families.

Milton Community Hub

Milton is the fastest growing community in Canada and is enriched by a population which brings a huge diversity of culture and languages. The increasing population and fast pace of new housing development puts demands on an infrastructure that is struggling to keep up. As a part of this localized infrastructure, the Hub responds to the constant demand for programs and services, and also supports service providers who are striving to identify needs and provide access to appropriate supports for Milton children, youth and families.
