OKN In the Community

Through community Hubs, community and youth-led projects, programs and events, OKN mobilizes people to create positive opportunities, experiences and environments for children and youth.

Community Hubs Respond to the Needs of the Neighbourhood

Our Kids Network Community Hubs are located in schools and are within walking distance for most families who are involved. Each of the Hubs has a distinct character that reflects the needs of the families and service partners who connect in that environment.

A diverse group of people make up a Hub team – school staff, community leaders, family members, health and children’s services workers, faith leaders and many others. Together, they apply their unique ideas and experience to putting access, programs and supports in place.
